I am grateful to my Dad for introducing me to the two great passions in my life - photography and golf. I am fortunate to have been able to combine the two into a wonderful profession.

After leaving corporate life and a career in marketing and sales, I was a partner in an event management company that specialized in golf. We hired photographers to shoot our events. I saw the good, the bad and the ugly - some great photographers, some that had atrocious people skills, and the clients that insisted that a staff member with a digital camera could get the job done. This rekindled my earlier interest in photography. I realized that with my sales background, understanding of corporate protocol, and customer service orientation, I had much more to bring to clients than just great photography.

One of the challenges of golf event photography is to candidly capture the excitement of the game along with the personal relationships among the players, while also formally chronicling the significant events of the day. Good golf event photography and golf course photography is a specialty that I have honed over the past 10 years. Now I am really excited to be in the Charlottesville and Richmond areas, which are home to some of the oldest traditional and some of the newest courses in the country.

Beyond corporate and golf photography, people and their pets is an area of photographic passion. Currently "owned" by three loving dogs, I appreciate the unique bond between humans and their pets. I enjoy capturing natural candid moments. As with families and children, the challenge is to capture that special relationship and candid moment that can be cherished forever.

Photography is a continual learning process, especially in today's digital world. As a member of the Virginia Professional Photographers Association, I frequently attend seminars and network with other photographers to share and learn about new techniques, products and services to improve the photographic experience for my clients.

I have assembled a team of talented and like-minded professional photographers, who uphold our quality and customer service, for those times I can't be in two places at once or when a team is needed to best cover an event.
